How about a one dish meal?? Seems convenient to me, how about for you?
This is a one dish meal, and no packaging if you make it your self? what a deal for yourself, the world, and your budget too! So how about we give this recipe a try and see what happens. Make this one dish meal your way using different combination of vegetables, protein choices, grain and your choice of sauce to hold it all together. So here goes.
One Dish Meal
1 1/2 cup of vegetables (ex. tomatoes corn,green beans etc.
1 1/2 cups of dried beans, peas, lentil, split peas or other types of beans (cooked by you or canned to save time)
1 to 1 1/2 cups of a liquid ingredient such as white or mushroom,tomato sauce or non-dairy cheese sauce or sauce of your choice.
1 1/2 cups of grain such as rice ,pasta ,bread or crust like a pot pie
Add spices, garlic,onions,peppers,paprika. Mix all ingredients together cover and bake about 30 minutes covered then cook 15 more minutes un-covered then let cool for 10 minutes before serving to let casserole rest,
If you are a meat eater you could substitute the vegetable based proteins for your favorite meat .
