Use for pest bites:
Baking soda made into a paste and put directly on to a mosquito bite will stop the swelling and the itch if done right after the bite. Just make the baking soda into a paste, apply directly to the bite and let dry .It will flake off naturally and you should have no welt and no itching. Yeah! Also is supposed to work with bee stings if you make sure the stinger is out before applying the paste.
Use for sunburn
add a cup to lukewarm bath water to take the sting out out of your sunburn. You can also use steeped regular Lipton tea bags. Make a pot of tea , strong and pour brewed tea into the tepid bath water and soak . That will also take the sting out of a sunburn.
use for canker sores:
this is new to me. 1 teaspoon of baking soda to 1 cup of water and swish every few hours to help a sore heal faster,and take the pain away. I sure could have used that some years ago.
use to repel weeds.
Pushed between the cracks on your patio blocks baking soda will keep grass on the lawn and off the patio. cool.
use to make tomatoes sweeter:
put around the base of your tomato plant to make the harvest of tomatoes sweeter.
use to keep the pests out of dogs ears:
1 cup of warm water with one teaspoon of baking soda. Take a cotton swab dipped in this mixture to clean pets ears and it will put an end to mites too.
